The main screen is located on the upper half, and the keyboard is on the lower half. The flip format has regained popularity with the advent of smartphones equipped with screens that fold vertically. When folded, they resemble a compact women's powder case and take up minimal space; when unfolded, they transform into a regular smartphone with a slightly elongated screen. For convenience, Flip phones often feature an additional external screen for use when closed.
