The debut of the 2026 ROG Strix gaming lineup is a 27-inch advanced monitor from Asus. One of its main features is its 5K resolution, or 5120x2880 pixels, along with support for Dual Mode (also known as Frame Rate Boost). With maximum image detail, the refresh rate is 180 Hz, while reducing the resolution to Quad HD format increases it to 330 Hz. The first mode is ideal for story-driven titles with excellent graphics, and the second is for competitive online games.
The Asus ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG monitor is based on an IPS panel with 10-bit color depth, allowing it to display over 1 billion shades. Other image features include wide viewing angles, slightly enhanced contrast (1500:1), and a fairly high brightness reserve (standard value of 350 nits can reach up to 600 nits when playing HDR content, as confirmed by the VESA DisplayHDR 600 standard).
Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the fast response time (0.3 ms), adaptive sync technologies — AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and G-SYNC Compatible, as well as profile options including a convenient settings menu and ROG Gaming AI assistant with a contrasting and noticeable crosshair on any background, automatic image adjustment, and lightening of dark areas. Additional model features include a KVM switch and a functional stand that allows you to rotate the screen into portrait mode, swivel it left or right by 40 degrees, adjust the height by 11 cm, and a rich set of interfaces. DP 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports are supplemented by USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) with Power Delivery function of 15 W, as well as a USB hub with three type-A connectors and a bandwidth of 5 Gbps (3.2 gen1).
