On the back there is a metal plate for reinforcement and heat dissipation. 10-phase power system. Element base of 10K Black Metallic capacitors, MicroFine Alloy chokes and Vishay Siliconix SiC639 microcircuits (up to 50 A). PWM controller ASP1400CTB.
The "ReTry" button, the "NODE" port, and the "MemOK! II" switch are located at the bottom of the board. In the upper right corner there is a diagnostic LED indicator and the "Power" and "Reboot" buttons.

It is the top model in the Asus ROG line of premium motherboards supporting any 2/4/6/8-core 8th and 9th generation Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron processors with Coffee Lake microarchitecture and processor connector LGA 1151 v2. Designed for enthusiasts of conventional and extreme overclocking, benchmarking.
Suitable for assembling high-end gaming configurations of the highest level. It can become an excellent basis for building multiGPU systems using AMD CrossFire and Nvidia SLI technologies. For enhanced power supply of the overclocked processor, a reliable 10-phase VRM circuit based on high-quality DrMOS (MOSFET Gen IV) elements designed for currents up to 50 A is provided. A heat sink connected to the water cooling circuit is provided to cool the power elements.
In addition, the Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI FORMULA motherboard is equipped with two network cable adapters (GbE Intel I219V and Aquantia AQC111C up to 5 Gbps) and an Intel Wireless-AC 9560 module that provides support for high-speed Wi-Fi networks (802.11 a / b / g / n/ac, 2x2 MU-MIMO 2x2, up to 1.7 Gbps) and Bluetooth interface 5. Equipped with a set of buttons, switches and system status indicators for convenient operation on an open bench.
