Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27 " black
![]() |
A solid gaming monitor with a thin-bezel 27-inch QuadHD-resolution screen, a high frame rate (165 Hz), as well as support for HDR10 and Nvidia G-Sync technologies. The design of this model is based on an AH-IPS type matrix (597x336 mm) manufactured by AU Optronics with a resolution of 2560x1440 and Flicker-Free backlighting on white W-LEDs. Thanks to the correct implementation of RTC technology, which provides compensation for the response time of the matrix, the average response time does not exceed 4 ms, and the pixel switching time according to the GtG scheme is 1 ms.
High refresh rate and support for Nvidia G-Sync technology allows the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ monitor to display an impeccably clear picture even in the most dynamic moments of active gameplay. It is positioned as a model of the upper price category from the 2019 Asus The Ultimate Force family, capable of satisfying the demands of not only ordinary PC gamers, but also true professionals of eSports disciplines. With support for HDR10 technology, the monitor improves image detail in deep shadows and strong highlights. Connection to a computer is carried out via digital interfaces HDMI v2.0 or Display Port v1.2. The multifunctional stand allows you to adjust the screen to a comfortable position (adjustable height, tilt angle, there is a function of turning to portrait position).

They are not available Defective garbage. It has a defective matrix, a defective motherboard, defective power supply, defective backlighting... I don't know what isn't defective about this monitor. DNS refuses to take it back or repair it. It was repaired 2 TIMES and NOT COMPLETELY, they refuse to repair it the 3rd time, and after returning from their service center, the monitor became unusable. |
I got a looooong review - 10,500 characters! Unfortunately, it’s not possible to fit everything here. Therefore, I made the entire review in the form of 2 screenshots, which I attach here. - ratio of features/quality/price after 2 weeks of use, small backlight bleed appeared at the top |
After reading its specs, I can say the following: 1) The matrix is TFT AH-IPS, which is very important and probably the most crucial aspect of a monitor or TV. The thing is, it's really amazing. The AH-IPS matrix has excellent image quality, high contrast, brightness, clarity, and resolution. AH IPS is the latest and most expensive development in the IPS technology family. If you are a fan of good color rendering. I installed Witcher 3 and was simply astonished at how vibrant everything was! 2) HDR10 not 10+ unfortunately. What's the difference: 10+ has a deeper black level and higher brightness. 3) Refresh rate, it's all good here at 165Hz. Though in my opinion, I don't play CS, so this parameter isn't as important as the matrix; again, to each their own! 4) I would say Nvidia G-Sync is secondary after the matrix. Now, this is interesting: there are technologies (I won't go into submodels of these technologies) from AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync. If AMD FreeSync is free and those guys give it to everyone, Nvidia G-Sync is more complex, let's say the algorithms are more complicated and expensive. As a fan of Nvidia and my graphics card is a 1660 TI, the choice is obvious. HDR10, Nvidia G-Sync, AH-IPS,165 Hz does not support HDR10+ (not to be confused with regular HDR10) |

Six months later, the spots reappeared, and the monitor sometimes started turning off on its own, so I took it for repair again. This time they solved the G-sync issue and replaced the motherboard, but the spots remained. I'm attaching photos; in reality, they are much more visible and very annoying. Even the DNS salesperson who issued the product noticed these spots.
I took it for a third repair to remove the spots, and it was sent to a DNS service center somewhere in Noginsk. There they wrote some nonsense that there were no spots, the defect was not detected, and achieving a perfectly uniform black color on an IPS matrix is impossible. My problem is with the bright spots on the monitor, not the black color. The monitor came back with a detached stand, which had never been unscrewed before. When I got home and attached the stand, the image became completely unusable. Colorful stripes and blurriness appeared on the screen.
