The maximum recording speed is available only on the internal memory of the camera, shooting on external memory up to 60 fps at 4K.

Mirrorless full frame from Canon, launched into the photography arena in the height of summer 2020. The camera has an image sensor with a resolution of 20.1 MP, peeped from the reportage "monster" Canon EOS 1D X Mark III. However, the mirrorless camera also does not graze the rear in photographing dynamic scenes — frames are taken on it at a tremendous pace of up to 20 fps (when using an electronic shutter).

The standard ISO range of the Canon EOS R6 body image sensor ranges from 100 to 102400 ISO units, and it can be extended by software to ISO 50-204800. The built-in stabilization system on board the camera is capable of compensating for up to 8 stops of exposure in combination with some lenses for the Canon RF system. The camera also uses a top-of-the-line Dual Pixel CMOS AF II automatic focus system with 1053 focus areas.

It quickly and tenaciously holds objects in the frame when taking photos, accurately and smoothly aims at the target in video recording mode. By the way, the videos are written on a mirrorless camera in 4K resolution at 60 fps and in FullHD at 120 fps. The camera supports 10-bit, 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, C-Log and HDR PQ. The on-board equipment of the model includes an OLED viewfinder with a resolution of 3.69 million dots and a magnification of 0.76x, a swivel three-inch touch screen, a dual SD card slot with UHS-II support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless adapters. The body of the camera is weatherproof.

Switching from the Canon 5D II, it seemed like everything got better, but after a couple of hours, you realize that not everything is super.

An excellent reporting camera with a completely miserable, flat and discolored picture. As well as its main competitors. In pursuit of speed, high and ISO and video, camera manufacturers seem to have forgotten about color, halftones, and volume. The main numbers, people hawala.

a model with serious flaws

In the very first test video, there were several large clusters of dead pixels (more than 20 dead pixels). Both the manufacturer and the seller refuse to exchange the camera for a non-defective one, citing one side of the law, even though another side of the law states that reputable manufacturers and sellers can make exchanges. Previously, there were no instances (with other manufacturers in other stores) where defective electronics were not exchanged, and there were never any problems.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING BEFORE PURCHASE: 1) Bring a laptop to the store. 2) Insert the card into the camera without removing the lens cap and record a 10-second video and photo. 3) Remove the cap and repeat shooting the photo and video on a white paper. 4) Insert the SD card into the laptop and carefully check that there are no red, blue, green, or other dots on white and black backgrounds, depending on the camera settings. Be sure to test the equipment before purchasing, do not trust the overhyped Canon like I did!

I was not satisfied that Canon does not check its cameras and people become hostages of the situation for a long time after buying such expensive but not high-quality equipment. In official support on the Canon website, referring to only one part of the law, they refused to replace a defective production camera with more than 20 dead pixels, covering them up. This has nothing to do with the honor of the Japanese brand, the quality has sunk to the level of a sharashka office.
