Easy to handle, lightweight and compact camera with 8x optical zoom. The camera shoots in a range of equivalent focal lengths of 28-224 mm, allowing you to cover the vast majority of scenes — from the ability to fit architecture in the frame in the wide-angle lens position to shooting shy animals and birds at a distance at the maximum zoom position. The use of not very fast optics (f / 3.2 — f / 6.9) imposes some restrictions on handheld shooting in poor lighting conditions, since the Canon IXUS 185 is deprived of the stabilization system (this prerogative was left to the older brother of the model in the face of the compact IXUS 190). For sighting, the camera uses a 2.7-inch non-touch screen; the camera also has a built-in flash. For advanced users, the menu provides the P position, in which you can set the type of metering, change the white balance, ISO sensitivity (ranging from 100 to 1600 units) and enter exposure compensation.
