Wonderful watch with extraordinary scratch resistance. I highly recommend buying a cheap screen protector to not worry about its preservation at all. I have been using it for two years, and the battery still lasts three weeks despite constantly using the flashlight and working out at the gym three times a week. It's possible that the strap that comes with it could be a bit higher quality, but they are easily replaceable and cost three times less than those for Apple Watch. |

Popular questions about Garmin Fenix 8 43mm
How long does the Garmin Fenix 8 43mm last?
In normal mode, the battery lasts up to 10 days on a single charge, while with GPS it lasts up to 28 hours. This is usually sufficient for daily wear and regular workouts, but precise navigation, music, and extended activities noticeably reduce battery life.Source:Specifications
Isn't 43 mm too large for a small wrist?
This is the most compact version of the Fenix 8: the 43 × 43 mm case weighs 50 g without the strap. The watch doesn’t look bulky in diameter, but its 13.8 mm thickness is still noticeable—especially if you’re used to slim fitness bands.Source:Specifications
Can you dive with them?
Yes, the Garmin Fenix 8 43mm is suitable for swimming and recreational diving: it offers 10 ATM water resistance, a depth gauge down to 40 m, and dedicated diving metrics. This significantly expands the watch’s capabilities compared with standard pool models.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews
How does the Garmin Fenix 8 guide you along a route?
The watch displays maps, guides you along an uploaded GPS track, and helps you return to the starting point. It features dual-band GPS, support for multiple satellite systems, a compass, and an altimeter; if you go off route, the watch can recalculate the route based on the specified destination.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews
Can I leave my phone at home when going for a run?
You can record your route and workout without a phone: the watch has GPS, maps, and a built-in player with 32 GB of storage. However, a connected phone is required to send an alert message when an incident is detected.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews
How does the Fenix 8 differ from the Fenix 7?
The main upgrades are an AMOLED display, a microphone and speaker, a depth gauge with diving features, and a fifth-generation heart rate sensor. The difference is especially noticeable if you need a bright display, voice control without an internet connection, or diving capabilities; for basic workouts and navigation, the difference is less significant.Source:Specifications
Aren’t they a bit too feature-rich for basic fitness?
For gym workouts, walks, and basic activity tracking, the Garmin Fenix 8 43mm may be overkill. Their strength lies in route-based workouts and various types of training load: the watches track heart rate, HRV, VO2Max, sleep, and stress, and also help with map navigation.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews
What do you lose by choosing the Fenix E?
Fenix E is not a direct equivalent of this version: it comes in a 47 mm size and lacks a flashlight, advanced sealed buttons for diving, and some of the capabilities of the full Fenix 8. If a compact 43 mm case, a flashlight, and diving are important, Fenix E will be a noticeable downgrade.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews
