Premium build with aluminium and glass construction. Not as robustly water resistant as some flagship “flat” phones. Clean Android, optimised for multitasking. Fewer apps are fully optimised for foldable screens. Why refurbished? Choosing a refurbished Google Pixel Fold is a clever way to embrace new tech while being gentler on the planet. Innovative entry into the market
In 2023, Google introduced its foldable smartphone Pixel Fold, which became a successful debut in this segment.
Folding design
The Pixel Fold is designed in a book format and includes an external screen. On the front side is a 5.8-inch OLED matrix with a resolution of 2092x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The internal display is also an OLED panel with a 6:5 aspect ratio, a diagonal of 7.6 inches and a resolution of 2208x1840 pixels. However, it is worth noting that the bezels around the internal screen are quite wide, which, according to Google, is done to improve the reliability of the hinge.
Performance and Cameras
The smartphone has an eight-core Tensor G2 processor, which provides high performance along with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. Google Pixel Fold cameras include a triple main module with resolutions of 48 + 10.8 + 10.8 MP and two front cameras - one on each screen. The main camera is equipped with optical stabilization, and also uses proprietary image processing algorithms and unique features from Google.
Convenience and autonomy
The smartphone runs on pure Android, supports 5G and has IPX8 water protection. However, the device's battery life leaves much to be desired: the 4821 mAh battery is apparently insufficient for long-term use with active use. Fortunately, the model supports fast wired charging and wireless charging. The Pixel Fold weighs 283 g, which is slightly more than many other foldable smartphones.
