An ultra-wide, fast zoom lens designed for Sony's full-frame league of mirrorless cameras. The model guarantees high resolution when working with multi-megapixel cameras. The top status of the lens is indicated by belonging to the G-Master optics line. The uniqueness of the ultra-wide is evident in the advantageous combination of focal lengths of 12-24mm and a high constant aperture of f/2.8.

The lens is equally good for shooting landscapes, architecture, starry skies and sports events where ultra-wide angles are important. Quick focus is provided by the built-in autofocus motor. The Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM is not affected by chromatic aberrations, and has slight levels of distortion and vignetting. Also, the model "draws" a sharp picture from the open hole of the 9-blade diaphragm. The design of the "width" is protected from dust and moisture. Due to the convex front lens, lens filters are mounted on the rear holder near the metal bayonet mount. The model weighs 847 g.
