— actually, this type of array does not apply to classic RAID. Its name is an abbreviation of an English phrase that literally means "just a bunch of disks" — which quite accurately describes the features of the work. JBOD does not use fragmentation, checksums, etc. tricks — information is written to each disk in the traditional way. However, all disks are lined up "in a queue"; when the space ends on the first one, the recording continues on the second one, and so on.
