Netbook

— kind of "laptops in miniature": small devices of classical design (not transformers, not "2 in 1") that fall into one of two categories:

— models with screens up to 10";
— models with screens from 10" to 12" inclusive, equipped with energy-efficient processors and do not meet the criteria for ultrabooks (see the relevant paragraph).

At one time, netbooks were popular as inexpensive and easy to transport devices for simple tasks — primarily web surfing and working with documents. However, today this class of devices has practically fallen into disuse, having been supplanted by other categories of laptops: low-cost laptops for 13 – 14 ", as well as 2-in-1 models and transformers (see the relevant paragraphs).
