Thanks to this, DTS X is not tied to specific number of audio channels — theoretically, there can be as many as you like. But in laptops, more advanced modification is more often used — DTS X: Ultra, created primarily for games. It allows you to specify even more detailed data on audio objects, providing the most accurate positioning and, accordingly, very pronounced and reliable effect of presence.
