According to the manufacturer, Kingston DC server drives will help improve performance in specific areas such as AI processing, machine learning, big data analytics, cloud computing, operational databases (ODB), as well as database and storage applications.
As befits a server SSD, they support wear leveling technologies, advanced hardware error correction, SMART monitoring, flexible power management and the TRIM command. Key design criteria are low latency and I/O consistency to meet stringent QoS requirements. At the same time, linear read and write speeds are limited by the capabilities of the SATA 3 bus and do not exceed 550 - 560 MB. In addition to high reliability, the Kingston DC series stands out due to its large internal storage capacity (up to 8 TB) and high TBW (note: drive mean time between failures).
Considering the specificity of the series, the manufacturer is in no hurry to update the range, releasing literally one drive every few years. The newest and most current model is the Kingston DC600M, presented to the public in the summer of 2023. It does all of the above plus it comes with redundant capacitors to protect your data in the event of an unexpected power failure. This protection reduces the risk of data loss and ensures that the disk is successfully reinitialized the next time the system starts. A choice of capacities from 480 GB to 7680 GB is designed to suit any storage requirement.
