The model included in the Ryzen 5 Matisse line belongs to AMD's junior seven-nanometer processors. It supports multi-threading, has 32MB L3 cache, supports PCIe 4.0 interface and is compatible with socket AM4 motherboards. Unlike its sister 3600 6-core, 12-thread version, the AMD 3600X OEM processor features 200 MHz more performance and up to 95 W of heat dissipation correspondingly.
The last factor must be taken into account when choosing a suitable cooling system, since the cooler is not included in the package of this CPU. The clock frequency of each core is 3.8 GHz, and with the help of proprietary technologies, this value can be increased to 4.4 GHz. Thanks to the free multiplier, the user has a safe and fairly easy option to change the frequency baseline.

I bought an R5 3600X. Everything is super, it works like a clock, it started without dancing with a tambourine. I bought the OEM version from the photo, everything arrived intact, nothing was bent or scratched. As stated, the bus up to 4.4 was stable, I didn’t drive it anymore. The mother of the B450m s2h from gigabyte did not express any complaints, it launched on f40 BIOS without problems. Hot! Take a more or less tolerable cooling system, because... Passed from platform 1155 (xeon e3-1235), system performance - heaven and earth. I took the ASUS Prime B450M-K II motherboard and the 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (3200 MHz) kit. Truly a people's processor in terms of price / quality ratio. According to tests in games, it is at the level of 5500. For home purposes, it is enough for the eyes even without overclocking. Bios did not need to be updated.
