Key Performance & Selling Points 1. Next-Level Gaming Performance Powered by 96MB of massive 3D V-Cache, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D... moredrastically reduces memory latency, delivering a 20%-40% FPS boost in 1080P esports games, with even more significant improvements in 1% Low frames (eliminating stutters during intense team fights). It dominates popular titles like CS2, Valorant, Naraka: Bladepoint, and PUBG, and can compete head-to-head with DDR5 platform CPUs like the Ryzen 5 7500F and Intel Core i5-13600KF at 1080P resolution. 2. The Ultimate AM4 Platform Upgrade As AMD's first budget-friendly 3D V-Cache processor, it is the best choice for existing AM4 platform users (with B450/B550 motherboards). You can upgrade your gaming performance without replacing your motherboard or DDR4 memory, making it an extremely cost-effective solution for legacy system refreshes. 3. Low Power & Cool Operation With an actual full-load power consumption of only 70-80W, the 5500X3D is easily cooled by an entry-level 4-heatpipe air cooler (e.g., Deepcool Gammaxx 400), keeping full-load temperatures under 75°C, eliminating the need for expensive AIO liquid cooling. 4. Balanced Productivity for Daily Use Scoring around 20500 points in Cinebench R23 Multi-Core, it fully meets the needs of daily office work, multi-tasking, light video editing, and live streaming, making it a well-rounded choice for non-professional creators.

Model overview based on user reviews
The AMD Ryzen 5 Vermeer series, particularly the 5600X and 5600 OEM models, is highly praised for its performance, stability, and efficiency. Users appreciate its cold operation and powerful performance, making it an excellent choice for gaming and work tasks. The processor is noted for its high FPS in games and compatibility with various GPUs, such as the RTX 3060 and 3070. While some users mention the high price and the need for a better cooling solution due to the stock cooler's limitations, the overall sentiment is positive, highlighting its value for money and suitability for both gamers and content creators. Some users experienced issues with temperature sensitivity and BIOS settings, but these are generally outweighed by the processor's benefits. Overall, the Ryzen 5 Vermeer is recommended for those seeking a reliable and efficient CPU for mid to high-end builds.

With a difference of ~1k UAH, there is simply no point in installing the 3600.

The best processor for a basic gaming PC or for work
Upgraded from 3600 to 5600, different generations, with an average increase of about 15-20% in games and benchmarks. For the current price, it's a base with 6 physical cores for installation in any PC. TDP is 65W just like the 3600. It works paired with AMD RX 5700XT Aorus + 2x8 GB 3200 Corsair. Opted for OEM, as in this summer heat, I would have chosen an air cooler with 180+ TDP anyway.

Cold for its generation, strong growth compared to other r5.

Replacing my old R5-2600, I got an excellent, powerful processor, the 5600X. The processor fit perfectly with my Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming motherboard (Bios:3802). It's fully compatible with the Asus TUF-RTX3070-O8G-V2-Gaming LHR graphics card and the RAM 4x8=32GB (3200MHz XMP). The cooling system installed is the Enermax T50 AXE 120 mm Black with Arctic MX-4 thermal paste. I've included a couple of test photos. If you have the chance, go for it. Wishing everyone peaceful skies and a great evening!

Best processor for mid builds or builds on 3060, 3070, 3070ti

The best processor for $150 (12/25/2022), very cold, under the be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste in the stress test 65 maximum, in idle 30-35, without overclocking. For games, the performance is enough with a margin for 1080 and 1440, the emphasis is only on the video card. Of the unpleasant moments, this is an increase in the price of motherboards with a 550 chipset, but despite this, the performance is higher than that of 11400f and a bunch of percent + motherboard will be even cheaper than a bunch of 12400f, and in some places even higher performance.

3D Cache

AMD Ryzen 5 5500X3D is one of the most affordable processors with an increased third-level cache volume of 32+64 MB. This cache reserve is especially beneficial in games, while in work tasks the performance boost is usually less noticeable. The more efficient gaming solution remains the eight-core Ryzen 7 5800X3D, however, after its return to the market in the Anniversary Edition version for the AMD AM4 platform's decade, its cost has significantly increased.

Not Picky About RAM

The six-core Ryzen 5 5500X3D appears more advantageous than the Ryzen 7500F for the AM5 platform also due to the more affordable DDR4 memory instead of DDR5. The additional cache helps reduce dependency on high-frequency RAM, so even simple DDR4-3200 modules with JEDEC timings CL22 can be used. For starters, even single-channel memory operation will suffice without significant loss of performance in games.

Does Not Slow Down the GPU

In terms of discrete graphics card support, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D is closer to the full-fledged Ryzen 5 5600 with a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface, rather than the scaled-down Ryzen 5 5500 with PCIe 3.0 x8. This is sufficient for the correct operation of modern NVIDIA GeForce, AMD Radeon, and Intel Arc graphics cards without noticeable FPS reduction. Intel Arc owners should additionally activate the Resizable BAR technology, which may be called SAM in the BIOS of some motherboards.
