Model overview based on user reviews
The AMD Ryzen 5 Summit Ridge is highly praised for its excellent price-to-performance ratio, making it a top choice for budget-conscious users. It excels in professional applications like SolidWorks and Zbrush, outperforming similar Intel processors in work tasks. While it may not match Intel in gaming performance, it still handles modern games well, with only occasional freezes. Users appreciate its overclocking potential and the inclusion of a stock cooler with decent thermal paste. The processor is noted for being powerful, cool, and undemanding, making it suitable for both gaming and professional tasks. However, some users experienced issues with game optimization when overclocked. Overall, the Ryzen 5 Summit Ridge is recommended for those seeking a cost-effective solution for work and casual gaming.

Essentially the same 2600, but cheaper and slightly lower frequency
21 February 2021
The best processor for the "first time" (judging by the prices now, it should last at least 5 years in the computer)
Excellent performance (thanks to the transition to Zen+ architecture)
It allows setting a comfortable RAM frequency of 3200 - 3533
Can be overclocked to 4 GHz in most cases without issues.
Today's price (21.02.21) is horrible, to put it mildly.
Box version - 3800-4000 hryvnia
OEM - 3600 - 3800

The fair price for the OEM is 2700 and 3000 for the box version.

Does not start out of the box on the ASrock b450m Pro 4 F board, had to update the BIOS to version P2.00

good model, like it

Excellent CPU. In work it beats Intel, in games it loses to blue, but not significantly (by 10-15 fps). Overclocking optimization was a little disappointing (some games did not start), but other than the price and overclocking, of course, nothing upset me.
4)Performance in work and games
Slightly unstable acceleration
Powerful, cold, undemanding...

A good processor that can handle both gaming and professional tasks quite efficiently.
Low temperature (with the boxed cooler).
Many cores and threads (the rendering speed in DaVinci impressed me).
Boxed cooler that ventilates the power supply circuits (I didn't need it, but someone might appreciate it).
There's no point in speeding up.

Familiar face

Due to a shortage of components, AMD took an unprecedented step and updated the long-released low-cost Ryzen 5 1600 processor (it’s easy to find it on the network by an additional AF index). Unlike the original Ryzen 5 1600, the new product is made using the 12nm process technology and is not what it seems at first glance.

The king is dead, long live the king!

As tests have shown, AMD made an inconspicuous gift to potential buyers by using second-generation crystals to manufacture Ryzen of the first generation. Therefore, in fact, we have the good old Ryzen 5 2600, but with slightly lower frequencies (standard 3.2 GHz instead of 3.4 GHz, 3.6 GHz instead of 3.9 GHz in boost) and a more tasty price tag. Considering that all generations of Ryzen run on socket AM4 and don't require an Intel motherboard upgrade, it's no surprise that the 12nm Ryzen 5 1600 was an instant hit. And when will you see a 6-core processor with multithreading for a hundred-plus dollars?

Overclocking to 4.2 GHz

Further more. The novelty boasts an improved memory controller, it is more energy efficient and overclocks better. Our test unit was able to hit 4.2 GHz at 1.4 V. You can go even further, but that's the lot of sports overclocking. Given that the regular Ryzen 5 2600 hit the same ceiling of 4.1 – 4.2 GHz, it turns out that overclocking finally erases the difference between the Ryzen 5 1600 and Ryzen 5 2600. The work with RAM has also improved, unlike its predecessor, the new product is able to keep the memory frequency without problems up to 3600 MHz.
