In addition to the standard iPhone 15 model, Apple introduced a larger version - the iPhone 15 Plus. The main difference between them is the larger screen and larger battery. Otherwise, these are two flagship smartphones that are second only to the Pro and Pro Max models in terms of functionality. Both devices are equipped with a powerful A16 processor, which is comparable in performance to Apple's M2 laptop chip. The display remains outstanding - it's a 6.7-inch OLED screen with up to 2,000 nits of brightness for excellent playback of HDR content.
Dynamic Island cutout and USB C port
In terms of design, the iPhone 15 Plus is similar to the previous version. However, the main change is the Dynamic Island cut, which replaces the usual notch, and remains the subject of debate. Battery capacity has been increased by approximately 20%, which promises improved battery life. In accordance with the requirements of the European Commission, a transition has been made from the Lightning port to a universal USB C. The main camera has been improved, including autofocus optimization, improved night photography, and improvements to the Photonic Engine. The resolution of the main camera has increased from 12 to 48 MP, and double zoom has been added.
Satellite communications and Crash Detection system
Otherwise, the iPhone 15 Plus retains some of the characteristics of previous Plus models. The case is protected from water and dust according to the IP68 standard. It also has Wi-Fi 6 and a dual NFC chip. You can charge the device either wired or wirelessly. As in previous versions, the smartphone is equipped with a Crash Detection system and satellite communications for sending emergency messages in areas without mobile communications.
