The basic model of the iPhone 16 family has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen with a broadcast image resolution of 2556x1179 pixels. The display refresh rate remains standard (60 Hz), but its peak brightness in HDR mode has been increased to 2000 nits. At the same time, the minimum brightness threshold can be 1 nit. The smartphone is powered by a home-grown Apple A18 processor, which is built using TSMC's 3-nanometer process technology.

The chip contains two high-performance and four energy-efficient cores, a five-core GPU and a separate neural engine. The Apple iPhone 16 128GB debuted a set of Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features with tools for working with texts and advanced Visual Intelligence visual search using the camera. By the way, the rear camera unit in the smartphone now has the good old vertical layout - the main photo module of the mobile device consists of a 48 MP leading image sensor with a two-fold zoom and a 12 MP ultra-wide with a macro function.

Also on board the model there is an Action Button and a capacitive button on the side edge of the Camera Control case. The smartphone supports 20-watt wired charging and wireless charging using the proprietary MagSafe technology with a power of up to 25 watts. At the same time, the device is also certified according to the Qi2 standard - wireless charging according to it is provided with a power of up to 15 watts.
