Canon EOS M50 kit 18-150
![]() | Expecting restock Advanced amateur-level mirrorless camera with support for video recording in 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels). The camera is equipped with a 24 MP APS-C image sensor and a DIGIC 8 image processor, which provides burst speed up to 10 fps and video processing. The native sensitivity range of the camera's matrix is measured from 100 to 25600 ISO units (with the possibility of hardware expansion up to ISO 51200). On board the Canon EOS M50 kit 18-150, the proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system has found a home. Unfortunately, its services are not available to the operator when recording videos in UltraHD resolution. Also, 4K video is recorded on a mirrorless camera with a cropped picture, i.e. not from the entire area of the image sensor. For sighting during the shooting process, an e...lectronic viewfinder or a touch screen on a rotary hinge (optional) is used. The camera has a microphone input and an up-to-date list of wireless communications (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC modules). In addition to the “carcass” of the camera, there is a kit lens with a universal set of focal lengths of 18-150 mm, a floating f / 3.5-6.3 aperture and an STM optical stub on board. |

I use it for vlogs. occasionally for photos. I bought it specifically to carry it with me in my briefcase all the time. Compact, ergonomic, easy to operate and easy to set up. Insanely convenient to transfer content to your phone. A high-quality screen, everything is visible, does not grain, does not kill details, and conveys colors more or less adequately. The viewfinder is digital, but very detailed. It takes photos through it without any delay. Convenient to focus. A special plus for the weight. The camera is not difficult to carry in a briefcase and does not weigh you down when shooting from a stick. But the battery is weak. It is enough for 2 reports, maximum. I bought a second battery and solved the problem. I want to try to buy a fix. The whale is not bad, but it is dark. Of course, optics are not cheap. Overall, a very successful purchase, as I got what I wanted, and without any obvious drawbacks. In any case, the battery can be purchased, and the optics stock can be diluted using an adapter for the bayonet mount. About shooting 4K. I don't shoot in 4K. I shoot in 1080p. Sometimes I do slow motion. But in these modes, autofocus does not work well, or rather it is not there. You have to twist your hands. which is inconvenient. Dualpixel in 1080p mode works perfectly. In 4K - not very much. There is a super feature - face tracking. I use this all the time. Convenient, and most importantly it works great. The focus transition is almost imperceptible. Compact camera for vlogging. Ideal for the mission - put it in the briefcase and went. Very functional. Autofocus works superbly (1080p, 4K is not so fun anymore). Great for vlogs, because it’s light, compact, functional, and easy to use. Can be synchronized with your phone. The screen is nice, the viewfinder is detailed. the battery is weak, you need to buy a second one. Weak fleet of original optics + costs money. |
I vlog with this camera. I was looking for a compact yet high-quality solution with a fast manual zoom. I chose it specifically for its compactness and decent image quality. The shadows in the video editor are enhanced very well, even better in photos. The autofocus is indeed fast, but I mostly focus manually. The thing is, there is no autofocus for 4K video, to be precise, there's no fast autofocus, only the standard one that nobody uses. However, it's there for 1080p, and that disappoints me because at concerts I specifically need autofocus on 4K. There's also another issue with the flash. It only opens manually. Would it really be that costly to add a spring? Not a big deal, but sometimes it's inconvenient. I plan to buy a wide-angle and a prime lens for portraits, but the selection of optics doesn't really impress me. I read on forums that many people use a converter and Canon lenses, though I still don't understand if autofocus works with them. The photos are detailed and well-crafted. I forgot to mention, the display is of very high quality, and photos look quite detailed on it. I recently discovered that I can connect the camera directly to my phone and view everything from there, so I use it as a viewfinder (sometimes). Speaking of the viewfinder, although it's equipped with a screen-off sensor, I still don't get why they placed the viewfinder at the center of the camera? It's inconvenient. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with everything; for blogging/vlogging and non-professional photography, it's a great option. Pulls shadows excellently, even the very dense ones. Fast and responsive autofocus (but it turns out it doesn't work in 4K...). Nice screen. The battery works for several hours without issue. Very simple and convenient menu. Compact. The kit lens is very decent for its price. The small optical park burns this system. The viewfinder is inconveniently located (in the center). The flash is purely mechanical and can only be opened by pulling it out of the body (by hand). use Canon EOS M50 kit 15-45 few months |
Compact, beautiful, where else have you seen a white camera with a flip screen, shoots 4K. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I shoot videos and take photos. Size, flip screen, 4K video recording, color design Lacks stabilization and 4K 60fps shooting |
Not every camera is suitable for getting acquainted with “adult” photography. In Canon's fleet, the EOS M50 mirrorless camera is a good option for beginners.
First swallow
The model became the debut mirrorless camera under the sign of the Japanese brand, who was “brought up” with support for 4K video shooting. Ultra-high definition movies are recorded on the Canon EOS M50 with a crop factor of 1.6x and a frame rate of 24/25 fps. Also, when recording 4K video, the advanced autofocus services of Dual Pixel CMOS AF, which is the signature feature of Canon cameras, are not available to the operator. The autofocus system uses from 99 to 143 focus points in fact, depending on the specific lens.
Characters
A 24 MP APS-C image sensor and a DIGIC 8 processor are considered to be the main characters of the mirrorless camera. The ISO values for the camera are up to 3200 units, in burst mode the model develops a rate of fire up to 10 fps. At the same time, a good dozen RAW files and three dozen photos in JPEG format are placed in the buffer.
Versatility
A 0.39-inch OLED screen is assigned to the role of the viewfinder in the camera. Side-by-side with it, a 3-inch touch screen is mounted on the rear panel, which is mounted on a swivel hinge for easy sighting from non-standard angles. In addition, the camera received a full range of wireless communication modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC). Only the battery let her down, the tank of which is enough for “shooting” about 235 frames. Reinforcing faith in mirrorless is a truly ultra-versatile 18-150mm lens — it will fit for shooting architecture at a wide angle, and everyday scenes, and shy animals at the zoom telephoto position.
