The board runs the advanced AMD X570S system logic and is equipped with an AMD AM4 processor socket, which can accommodate 4/6/8/12/16-core desktop processors Ryzen 3000/5000 (Matisse and Vermeer), or a hybrid chip from the Ryzen 4000G series /5000G with integrated Vega video core (Renoir and Cezanne). MSI MPG X570S CARBON EK X is equipped with an advanced 16-phase digital power subsystem with an advanced element base, compacted textolite, special...latches for memory modules, reinforced clamps for a video card and other amenities. For cooling, a water block built into the board is used, which provides ideal cooling of the processor and VRM area, ensuring an optimal balance between heat and noise levels. It connects to a pre-installed heatsink through thermal pads between them and cools the heatsink, not the VRM directly, providing active VRM cooling at the level of Hi-End boards costing one and a half to two times more. The board layout includes a pair of reinforced slots for video cards with support for Crossfire mode, three M.2 connectors for compact and fast NVMe SSD devices and 8 connectors for traditional SATA3 drives. Supports installation of up to four DDR4 RAM modules with a maximum frequency of 5300 MHz with support for XMP 2.0 technology. The maximum memory capacity can reach 128 GB. The integrated Realtek RTL8125B network controller guarantees high speed wired connections with a maximum throughput of 2.5 Gbps. For wireless connections there is a built-in receiver supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.2.
