MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI is powered by Intel Z790 higher order system logic and has an Intel LGA 1700 socket for installing the processor. Supports 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel processors (Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, Raptor Lake Refresh) . One of the key differences from previous MSI MAG models is support for the PCI-E 4th and 5th generation system bus. This factor allows you to install several modern M.2 SSDs with linear read and write speeds above 5000 MB/s.
As an alternative to M.2, there are 4 more conventional SATA3 connectors for connecting classic drives (HDD 3.5” or SSD 2.5”). For connecting RAM, there are 4 DIMM slots that support installation of up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM with an impressive maximum frequency of 7600 MHz. The use of a high-quality 21-phase digital power converter with an enlarged heatsink and Load-Line power circuit calibration will allow you to fully realize the full speed potential of multi-core Intel Core processors.
