Monitors with VGA input

— analogue video connector, originally designed for CRT monitors. In light of the spread of LCD matrices and more advanced digital standards, it is considered obsolete, but it is still often found even in modern computer technology, not to mention the earlier one. As a result, such inputs are also quite popular in monitors; and for models with an aspect ratio of 5:4 (see the relevant paragraph), the VGA input is generally considered almost mandatory. This, in particular, is due to the fact that this standard fully supports video resolutions up to 1280x1024 inclusive (and 1280x1024 is just the classic value for 5:4 monitor). But for higher resolutions, VGA is poorly suitable.Show
