LCD panel

— LCD panels are a specific high-end type of screens with a certain set of characteristics. A mandatory feature of all such screens is the abundance of connectivity options: these devices are equipped with numerous types of video inputs and may also feature specific interfaces like LAN (see "Connectors (additional)"). In addition, LCD panels must meet at least one of the following criteria: the ability to be wall-mounted or a large diagonal size, from 32" and above.

In terms of specialization, LCD panels can be divided into two subtypes. The first is screens mainly designed for wall mounting and use as public information systems. Such a screen can serve as an information board at a train station or airport, be used as a wall-mounted TV (for example, for announcements in a cinema, advertising messages in a shopping center), etc. It is worth noting that the diagonal of such a device can be relatively small — there are models with 21 – 22" and even less. These small-format panels often have the ability to be combined into seamless video walls.

The second type of LCD panels are large-format desktop monitors designed to work simultaneously with multiple signal sources and display a large amount of information at once, or to be used as a kind of television. These models have stands for placement on a table or other surface, and this method of installation is considered primary, although VESA wall mounts are also often provided in the design. It is also worth mentioning that the screens in such models are most often made using advanced *VA or IPS technologies. Examples of the use of such "desktop" panels, as provided by the manufacturers themselves, include working with 3D design and stock market charts.
