The economy class of Samsung monitors, coming out under the motto ″quality and durability at an affordable price." This series includes relatively small 22 – 24-inch displays, which stand out due to their modern design and high-quality, by the standards of their class, matrices. Often there is FreeSync and Flicker-Free support on board, and the refresh rate is increased from 60 to 75 Hz.
Thanks to a full closed cycle, Samsung has recently been able to sit on two chairs: to do both cheaply and efficiently at the same time. Despite the budgetary status, Samsung PLS and IPS-matrices demonstrate a very high-quality picture with adequate colour reproduction, high contrast and sensible factory colour calibration. Thanks to this, the novelties of the 300th series immediately fall into the category of bestsellers, bypassing numerous competitors in the low-cost class and more high-end IPS monitors in terms of sales. This applies specifically to models released from the end of 2019. Earlier monitors of the 300th series with VA and TN + Film displays do not look very interesting by today's standards.
A great example of this is the Samsung R350 monitor and its many variations. At the time of its release in 2019, this model was considered almost the most affordable IPS monitor among all 22- and 24-inch diagonals. The main competitors in this class cost 20-30 dollars more, so the Samsung R350 had to fight for the throne mainly with outdated low-cost VA and TN displays. The R350 also played into the hands of a modern design with thin side bezels and a stylish glossy tripod, which compares favorably with numerous carbon-copy office monitors.
