Laptops Asus series VivoBook S (mid-range)
VivoBook S: middle class
The VivoBook family includes sleek everyday laptops in bold colours and balanced hardware. Models with the “S” index are advanced, they are made on the basis of the same chassis, but almost all the elements in them are slightly better, thinner, lighter, faster and more beautiful. If the basic models are designed for everyday use, then the S is designed for comfortable and performant work.
Iron here, usually, is designed to work “without brakes”, and solutions from AMD have been used as a hardware platform since 2020. And it can be both basic quad-core Ryzen 3 processors, and much more performant eight-core Ryzen 7 chips, capable of much more than just working with signs or texts. They boast integrated Radeon Vega graphics and nimble NVMe SSDs for lightning-fast system and application loading. But the VivoBook S models on the Intel platform are less common and not popular.
All models of the family are equipped with high-quality NanoEdge displays with thin frames based on IPS matrices. Available in 13", 14", and 15" sizes. In addition to the basic capabilities of regular Vivobooks, useful little things like an ergonomic stand cover, fast charging and Harman Kardon acoustics are added. Some 2019 models are additionally equipped with Face ID and ScreenPad display touchpads. Most representatives of the series demonstrate decent battery life, which is especially important for mobile use while traveling.
In 2019, Asus got into colour experiments with a bunch of red, orange, purple and gold laptops. Not all fans of the brand wanted to express their individuality in this way, so in the 2020-21 models, Asus turned to the classics, returning black, silver and gold colours to everyday life. They did not change the dimensions, they are already in full order. The average 15-inch VivoBook S weighs just 1.7kg, making it a great choice for travel, business trips and travel.
