In my case, it was the issue of excess weight, which forced me to almost completely change all my favorite clothes over a year and a half. From my previous weight loss programs, I know one thing for sure. The key is not to interrupt the process, at least until you see the first results. It's important to see that your efforts aren't in vain, and then a second wind of motivation appears, allowing you to move forward. Most fitness bands require charging, which you can't do while wearing them, so you have to take the band off, and ugly gaps appear on the beautiful graphs in the apps. This band doesn't need charging at all because it doesn't have a battery! It's powered by two lithium batteries, which, according to the manufacturer, last for a year. If it were another brand, I might have doubts, but this is Garmin – they know how to maintain their reputation. Any remaining doubts disappeared when I got to know the other features of the device. It has its own screen, but it's not made using the usual TFT or LED technology. An E-ink display is installed here, and it doesn't have backlighting. This and the automatic "sleep" mode during inactivity make this screen ultra-efficient. Again, thanks to its high contrast, it can be read even at dusk, so living without backlight is quite feasible. It calculates steps taken well, but the situation is worse with the distance covered. It also reminds you to get moving after a long period of inactivity. Does not even have a basic alarm clock, as energy saving does not allow such extravagance. Moreover, it cannot automatically detect sleep and switch to passive mode, you need to do it manually. With prolonged absence of synchronization, the built-in memory overflows and the old data is eventually overwritten by the new one. |
The designers made a nice, inexpensive device, but didn’t bother with the software. Could not install on Windows. On iPhone ok. But the interface is not friendly. It works well as a pedometer and daily activity motivator.
