The flagship of the “six thousandth” line of Sony mirrorless cameras, which entered the arena of photographic equipment in 2019. In the bowels of the camera body, a 24.2 MP APS-C image sensor is hidden from prying eyes, mounted on a movable stabilizing platform. The matrix stub is able to compensate for camera shifts in five planes, and it will also come in handy when recording videos.
Video shooting is given by Sony A6600 kit 18-135 in the maximum resolution of 4K (3840x2160 pixels) with a frame rate of up to 30 fps and a frame rate of over 100 Mbps. A separate plus in karma is given to the model for supporting S-Log2 and S-Log3 gamma curve profiles, focus on the eyes during video shooting and the presence of a microphone input along with an audio output to headphones (for sound recording control).
The camera's automatic focus system uses 425 phase-type sensors that cover 100% of the frame vertically and about 88% of the image area in the horizontal plane. The autofocus of the mirrorless captures the subject in a measly 0.02 sec. The camera is equipped with a high-resolution electronic viewfinder, a tilting touch screen, wireless communications (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), as well as a high-capacity rechargeable battery with the expectation of "shooting" over 800 shots on a single charge. In the role of a whale lens to the "carcass" of the camera, a universal zoom of 18-135 mm is presented.

The video is amateur!!??? Geez! Give you a pro camera and you're a pro! Specifically got it for video.... Paid for itself in two months and then got more jobs - for two Aunts IV. The camera is out of this world! I'm older, and carrying 35mm + lenses is not ideal for me. But here: compactness, autofocus (how do they do it!?), battery!!!, no one talks about the programmable buttons..... frame rate, etc. Photos! What photos!? ...Nikon and Canon are the bosses here. Plenty...lack of flash! One card, charger not included. After Nikon - the menu... After a month, you won't need anything else. Everything is in its place! |
i recommend it as the first camera from the pro segment. as a second camera on the rise. just a reliable and multifunctional hybrid. if you are too lazy to carry large cameras with you and the quality of content is a priority. and many more similar options! long work from one battery (1 hour full without a break and the rest is 50% still.) does not heat up. Doesn't freeze like big devices Compactness and at the same time performance at the A7 level! support for most handheld gimbalos without loss of functionality. Shooting at night and in low light conditions. autofocus hyperlapse. support for working from a power bank, but the camera does not charge! keep this in mind! Excellent directional sensitive cardioid microphone on board! good and multifunctional standard lens 18-135! I recommend purchasing with it. The stabilizer is built in! quality of video and photos and a lot more. I use it mainly for videos. with a staff member, it pulls content out of thin air perfectly! The photos come out good, but you have to dance. In general, for photography there are (not many, but there are) other apertures and not only from Sony. crooked menu!!!! a wobble with shooting modes (when switching to NTS, it rubs the flash drive! no 60 fps in 4k! not a rotating display, but now I’m starting to understand its advantages! small display! crappy grainy viewfinder. standard charging is something! it’s better not to get it at all and buy it immediately a charging bed on Alika! once again, stupid menu! expensive optics and mostly without stubs! and the choice is not that great. It fits perfectly in the hand, and eye autofocus works great in video mode. A capacious battery, in addition to which there is no overheating of the camera. I would like to have 2 slots for a memory card, it’s convenient and you’re covered for one. The history of Sony's "six thousandth" series of cropped mirrorless cameras began in 2014. The ancestor of the line is still on store shelves, and the model with the name A6600 is considered the most charged camera of the family today.
Comfortable grip
The mirrorless camera has inherited the features of the appearance of previous cameras in the series, however, it has acquired a more protruding battery handle, which provides a comfortable grip for the camera in the hand. The increased internal space of the handle contributed to the adoption of a new large battery on board, on a single charge of which you can “shoot” over 800 frames.

Tenacious autofocus
The automatic focus system in the equipment of the model combines 425 phase-type sensors under the wing. "According to the passport" the camera clings to the filming object in 0.02 seconds. In burst mode with autofocus, the mirrorless camera develops a rate of fire of about 11 fps. This buffers 46 RAW files and 115 JPEG photos. If the camera supported UHS-II cards, these numbers could be even higher.

The assets of the camera include four programmable buttons for quick access to settings and an inclined touch screen, tap on which the focus points are set. An alternative way to aim while shooting is the 2.36 million-dot electronic viewfinder. The Sony A6600 will find a home in the photo equipment of advanced users who are eager to acquire a universal camera for photo and video shooting.
