A full-size motherboard based on the mid-range AMD B650 chipset and equipped with an AM5 processor socket. It belongs to the upper limit of the middle price segment and is part of the unusual line of Asus TUF components, the products of which are created for gamers, but the emphasis is not on design and lighting, but on the quality of materials and extended service life. For the TUF series, it is completely normal to use long-lasting heat-resistant capacitors, energy-efficient power switches, specialized ProCool power connectors and double PCB for the printed circuit board.
Unlike most of its brothers in the series, this board is equipped with an AM5 socket, therefore it belongs to a higher level and is designed for assembling advanced work and gaming systems with AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors (socket AM5), introduced in 2022. Asus TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS supports data transfer via the PCI-E 5.0 bus, is compatible with high-speed DDR5 memory (maximum frequency 6400 MHz), and its 14-phase power subsystem is ready for the challenges of hot multi-core chips of the Ryzen 7/Ryzen 9 caliber. To install high-speed M.2 SSD drives, the board has 2 ports, one of which operates in PCI-E 5.0 mode. High-speed traffic processing is provided by a Realtek controller with a throughput of 2.5 Gbit/s. Via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 video ports. The device is capable of outputting images from the Vega video core built into many Ryzen processors. In addition, connectors for LED strips and water cooling are scattered throughout the board. The front and rear panels have USB ports supporting the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface.
