Mirrorless camera with record-breaking autofocus as of February 2016, passing in 0.05 seconds over 425 points. The Sony Alpha SLR-A6300 offers a 24-megapixel sensor with the usual ISO 100 – 25600 range (up to ISO 51200). Thanks to the Bionz-X processor, video recording can be carried out in resolutions up to 4K (30 fps), and shooting slow-motion videos in Full HD (120 fps) is also available.

The audio input of the microphone will not be superfluous, but there was no place for a headphone jack. The aforementioned focus system, dubbed "4D Focus", is able to adapt to the movement in the frame both when recording video and when shooting bursts (11 fps). Wi-Fi and NFC will allow you to remotely control the camera and share data with smartphones and tablets. The 3" display and electronic viewfinder also contribute to the ease of use. The presented equipment comes with a lens.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Sony A6300 kit 16-50 is a mirrorless camera that offers impressive features for its price range. It boasts a high-quality picture with a 24.2 MP APS-C sensor and advanced autofocus system with 425 phase detection points, making it highly efficient for capturing fast-moving subjects. The camera supports 4K video recording, although users have reported overheating issues during extended 4K filming sessions, especially in warm environments. While it performs well in Full HD with the XAVC HD 25 codec, prolonged use can still lead to overheating. The camera is equipped with a tilting 3-inch display and an electronic viewfinder, but lacks a touch screen and headphone output, which might be a drawback for some users. Despite these limitations, the Sony A6300 remains a strong contender in the mid-range market, offering excellent image quality and features that appeal to photography enthusiasts.
Pros

Cons

the camera is good for its price, but I don't think it's a workhorse.

good picture
Overheating. In 4K I avoid shooting because of overheating, only in full HD with the XAVC HD 25 codec (VERY GOOD PICTURE), but it overheats if you film for 2 hours, a school event in the morning... or even a wedding in a very warm room, the overheating icon appeared. And there was a moment when the video just started shooting with strobe effects and everything became blurry. Maybe I pressed something, I don't know, this hadn't happened before. I reset the camera and everything worked. Actually, I switched to the AVCHD codec afterward.

Video reviews

Externally, the mirrorless A6300 from Sony is an almost complete copy of the hit Sony A6000 camera. But with a more detailed study of the model, it becomes clear that it is superior to its predecessor in many aspects.

Instant focus

The updated 24.2 MP image sensor on board the camera demonstrates confident performance at high ISO (up to 6400-12800 units). But the main innovation that has found implementation in the Sony A6300 is the best-in-class autofocus system, which includes 425 phase-type points and 169 contrast points. It provides instant focus (in just 0.05 s) and tenaciously keeps the object in focus even at the maximum burst speed (11 fps). A few units of both mirrorless and SLR competitors can compete with the camera in terms of the speed of the autofocus system.

Advanced video capabilities

Many Sony cameras rely on advanced video capabilities. The Sony A6300 was no exception and acquired support for recording videos in 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels) at 30 fps and a bit rate of 100 Mbps. To this is added work with the XAVC S format and the use of S-Log 3 profiles with 14 exposure steps. In FullHD, video is recorded at up to 120 fps, which allows you to freeze motion in the frame. To use the camera as a pro instrument, its interface connectors lack a headphone output.

Leadership skills

The case of the former form factor is made of magnesium alloy, which is why the mirrorless camera has slightly gained weight (up to 404 g). On its back, there is an electronic viewfinder and a tilting screen without touch control support. The prerogative of choosing the focus point and changing the shooting parameters by tapping on the display was left to the next generation of the camera in the face of the Sony A6500, which in addition got a matrix image stabilization system. However, even without this, the model in question is ranked among the leaders in the league of APS-C cameras that can cope with any photographic tasks.
