AMD FreeSync monitors

— technology used in AMD graphics cards to match the actual frame rate on the monitor to the frame rate of the signal output by the graphics card.If the frame rate of the video signal does not match the refresh rate of the screen, tearing, delays, and various artifacts can occur that noticeably degrade the image quality. AMD FreeSync eliminates this phenomenon by adjusting the monitor to signal characteristics: simply put, the screen refresh occurs at the moment when the graphics card “prepares” the next frame for playback. Such capabilities are especially important in games where the frame rate can constantly change depending on the load on the video processor.
Of course, to use AMD FreeSync, you will need not only monitor, but also graphics card that supports this feature. However, we note that some FreeSync monitors are also compatible with similar technology from NVIDIA — G-Sync; see "NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible" for details. We also emphasize that in this case we are talking about the original FreeSync technology; support for newer and advanced versions of FreeSync — Premium and Premium Pro — is specified separately (see the relevant paragraphs).
