Ice Lake CPU laptops
Intel Ice Lake (10th Gen)
— microarchitecture of Intel desktop and laptop processors introduced in the second half of 2019. Formally, it belongs to the same generation as the previous Intel Comet Lake, but it differs markedly in many respects. The most notable update implemented in this CPU family is the reduction in the manufacturing process from 14 nm to 10 nm and the introduction of the new Sunny Cove architecture. Other changes from previous processor families from Intel include, in particular:— Increased cache volumes (by 50% for L1 and by different values for L2, depending on the model).
— Increased virtual memory support to 128 PB (up from 256 TB), and physical memory up to 4 PB (up from 64 TB).
— Dynamic Tuning 2.0 technology to optimize operation at higher clock speeds and increase the operating time in this mode.
— Intel Deep Learning Boost technologies that increase the efficiency of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
— Integrated 11th generation graphics with up to 64 functional blocks, performance up to 1.15 TFLOPS and support for 4K@120fps, 5K and 8K resolutions
— Support for DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b.
— Updated memory controller with support for DDR4 3200 and LPDDR4X 3733.
— Support for Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Thunderbolt 3.
The average TDP value in Ice Lake laptop chips does not exceed 15 watts.
