— a series of classic first-person shooters from id Software. The games in the series that are relevant nowadays are a reboot of the original Doom series from 1993-2004. This is actually Doom (DOOM, unofficially known as Doom 4), released in 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One (in 2017 – for Nintendo Switch and VR devices), as well as the sequel to this game Doom Eternal, which was released at the end of 2019 . These titles are fundamentally different from modern shooters like Battlefield or Call Of Duty, they follow the principles of the original Doom: dynamic spectacular battles against hordes of monsters, high levels of violence, linear levels with simple puzzles. A wide range of multiplayer modes were also introduced, including some very unusual ones (King of the Hill with a moving "mountain" and the ability to play as monsters in the single-player campaign of another player introduced in Doom Eternal), and a set of additional software includes a level creation utility available even to non-specialists.Show
