— shooter games, the basis of the gameplay of which is combat using firearms or other similar weapons (bows, lasers, etc.). In this case, the player, as a rule, controls a "live" character, not equipment, although exceptions to this rule are possible. The genre is traditionally played from the first person, third-person shooters are less common (see "Player's Perspective").
