Red Dead Redemption

— a series of action-adventure third-person Western-style games from Rockstar Games. The action takes place in an open world, the player has a great degree of freedom and can independently choose story and side tasks, explore the game space, etc. In this regard, the series is often compared to another hit from Rockstar — Grand Theft Auto; however, Red Dead Redemption is not just a "GTA in the Wild West", it is an independent project with its own unique atmosphere and features. All games in the series received very high praise, including for the rich story, detailed game world and interesting game decisions.

The predecessor of the Red Dead Redemption series was the first game in the Read Dead series, Red Dead Revolver, which was released back in 2004. This game is not related to the subsequent parts of the plot, however, it sets the main style and gameplay features. The first Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 only for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The newest (for 2019) game in the series is Red Dead Redemption 2, a prequel to the first part; it was also originally released on consoles, but was later ported to PC. This part turned out to be not only the most successful in the series, but one of the most successful games in the history of the industry, it broke a number of sales records and received several prestigious prizes and awards.
