Resident Evil

— the famous series of games in the genre of survival horror, produced by Capcom. The player will have to fight hordes of zombies and monsters that have emerged as a result of experiments with biological weapons. The gameplay is usually an action from the third, less often — from the first person, while the ability to pick up various additional items is available, often playing an important role in the process of passing.

The first title in the series was released back in 1996, for 2019 the series has 9 main games (plus several remakes) and about a dozen spin-offs. In general, Resident Evil is considered one of the benchmarks of the genre, the original series spawned an extensive media franchise and proved to be so successful that many parts were repeatedly re-released on new platforms. So, Resident Evil 4, originally released back in 2005 for PS2, has gone through as many as 8 re-releases — including for PS4 and Xbox One in 2018 and for Nintendo Switch a year later. For 2019, the newest game in the series is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, released in 2017 for PS, Windows and Xbox, and in 2018 for Switch; it somewhat departs from the style of the previous parts and places the player in a confined space, forcing them to look for a way out of an abandoned mansion.
