— a series of sports simulators released under the aegis of the eponymous organization — World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., which is engaged in organizing wrestling events and related activities. Since 2014, the games have been released by 2K Sports and bear the full title WWE 2K** — for example, the first game from this publisher was called WWE 2K14. Traditionally for specialized sports simulators, the series' games are released every year and take into account changes in the sports world that have occurred since the release of the previous game. An interesting feature is the presence of specific "creative" tools: for instance, WWE 2K14 introduced the Creative Suite editor for character creation, and WWE 2K16 featured the Universe mode, allowing players to create their own WWE tournaments, "rivalries" (rivalry, feud), titles, and even arenas.WWE 2K14 was released as a purely console game — for PS and Xbox, with subsequent parts adding support for Windows, and some titles even for Switch. Most WWE 2K series games received positive or predominantly positive reviews, but an exception was WWE 2K20, released in 2019, which was criticized for its imperfect physics, graphics, changes in controls, and numerous bugs.
