USB-C port laptops
USB C 3.2 gen1
— laptops that have at least one USB C connector with USB 3.2 gen1 support (previously known as USB C 3.0 and USB C 3.1 gen1).USB C is relatively new type of USB connector; from the classic USB A it is distinguished by much smaller size and two-way design. The use of such inputs is generally similar - connecting peripherals and charging external gadgets. In addition, other interfaces besides USB can be implemented through these ports - in particular, USB C is the standard connector for connecting Thunderbolt v3 and v4 (for more info see «USB C (Alt Mode)»). It is also available. And support for USB 3.2 gen1 allows you to exchange data at up to 4.8 Gbit/s. At the same time, in the laptop ports USB C this interface is somewhat less common than the more advanced version - USB C 3.2 gen2 (see corresponding para. 2).
Note that the number of inputs of this type may vary; for added convenience, models that have more than one USB connector C 3.2 gen1 are moved to separate selection point. It is also worth saying that USB C is rarely used as the only type of USB connector - usually they are installed in addition to the more traditional USB 3.2 gen1 or gen2 (see relevant paras. 2). And laptops with USB C 3.2 gen1 can also be equipped with more advanced version of this connector - the above mentioned USB C 3.2 gen2.
