In this table, you can compare the technical characteristics of transformer laptops. You can choose the best model for yourself in the laptop catalog.

Price, aluminium housing, razem M.2, USB C charging.

Dual-core processor, limited by the amount of RAM.

Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N is not the newest, but still an actual model of a hybrid laptop, which takes its toll due to an attractive price tag and excellent price—quality ratio.

Externally, the model looks almost like a designer laptop transformer with neat lines, a nice matte case (aluminium case, not plastic) and a modest thickness of 15.9 mm. The disadvantages of appearance can be written down quite thick frames around the screen. It cannot be said that they look bad or spoil the appearance of this baby, but the era of total illiteracy has weaned them from unnecessary unused centimeters.

Spin 5 SP513-52N is equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen display (resolution 1920x1080) with good brightness (260 cd/m2) and medium contrast (690:1). The touch screen supports the Active Pen stylus and generally leaves a pleasant impression.

The laptop's power is provided by an Intel Core i3-8130U processor with two cores /four threads (frequencies 2.2 GHz — 3.4 GHz). The processor, although not the most powerful, belongs to the modern eighth generation of Intel Kaby Lake chips, so you should not expect any performance problems in everyday work.

The HD Graphics 620 video adapter, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM complement the picture. There is no room for an upgrade, because the RAM is soldered on the motherboard, and there is only one slot for installing RAM modules. But there is a razem M.2, which will allow you to add another SSD drive in the future.

In addition to a pair of USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, one USB C and a full-fledged HDMI, the laptop is equipped with a Kensington lock and a combined 3.5 mm audio jack. In general, the equipment is modern and quite good, and as a bonus, it is possible to charge the laptop using the USB C port. It will come in handy if his standard charger suddenly wasn't at hand.

The keyboard is quite dense and pleasant, even the backlighting of the keys is available, but you will need to get used to printing on it because of the tight pressing. The battery with a capacity of 54 W * h is enough for 8-9 hours of FullHD video playback and up to 3 hours of heavy work tasks.

High-performance processor of the latest generation, roomy SSD, additional RAM slot, speaker quality.

Plastic case, no USB C, battery life.

Dell often strives for maximum practicality and performance in its laptops, and sends design issues to secondary roles. The new Dell Inspiron 13 5379 transformer was no exception, offering a powerful filling, but not the cutest appearance.

The laptop is equipped with an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor with four cores operating at frequencies of 1.8 — 4 GHz. In conjunction with the processor, an Intel HD Graphics 620 video core, a 512 GB SSD drive and 16 GB of DDR4 memory are installed. The overall performance of the model is at a fairly high level and is more than sufficient for work, entertainment and undemanding games. If it is still not enough, then in addition to the current 16 GB of RAM, you can add another bar — the benefit is that an additional slot is provided for it.

Despite the fact that the model is far from the cheapest, there is no metal or valuable varieties of plastic here. Everything is plastic, practical and boring — such a design is unlikely to appeal to those who want to show off a new gadget to their friends.

The laptop has an IPS touch screen with a diagonal of 13.3" (resolution 1920x1080). The matrix has a good contrast level, about 855:1, but the brightness is not the highest — about 270 cd / m2. The response time is more than 30 ms. A lot, but it will do for a non-gaming laptop.

The laptop's paraphyria also hints at its versatility, even if not for the sake of modernity. One USB 2.0, a pair of USB 3.1 and an HDMI port with a card reader. The fact that USB C was not delivered is frankly surprising. Especially if you look at the price of this model.

But there are no complaints about either a high-quality touchpad or a pair of loud and surprisingly bass speakers, which noticeably flourish when using the proprietary Waves Maxx Audio application.

The battery with a capacity of 42 W * h is enough for 5-6 hours of work with multimedia, but less, and this will not be enough for a model created with the idea of maximum portability.

ZenBook Flip combines the best features from transformer laptops and high-performance machines.

Externally, the model gives the impression of a neat and stylish thing. The sturdy case is assembled from high-quality materials (aluminium and a little plastic) and leaves a pleasant impression of the assembly. The main part of the case is strong and stable, will not bend or break in the side pocket of the backpack. The same can be said about the display cover.

ZenBook Flip relies on the strength of the eighth-generation quad-core and eight-threaded Core i7 chip, which operates at frequencies from 1.8 to 4 GHz and has a reserve of 8 MB of third-level cache memory. In conjunction with it, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 video accelerator with 2 GB of GDDR5 video memory works. The stock of DDR4 RAM out of the box is 16 GB, but it can be increased to 24 GB. The picture is completed by an SSD drive with a volume of 512 GB.

What can I say? Although this model does not belong to gaming in any way, it leaves behind many gaming models in terms of power reserve: a modern processor has a good power reserve, a GTX 1050 graphics card pulls out almost any modern game at high settings, and the SSD disk memory reserve is quite enough to store a collection of games. If the collection grows, then an additional drive can be installed to the current 512 GB using the M.2 connector.

The 15.6-inch touchscreen with support for multiple touches proved to be a convenient additional input device. The matrix itself is made using IPS technology with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. There is support for the stylus.

A pair of high-speed USB 3.0, one USB C, a full-size HDMI and a card reader are responsible for the transformer's peripherals. As additional buns, it is worth highlighting a Full HD webcam, high-quality speakers from Harman Kardon, a TPM security module and support for the Thunderbolt interface.

In general, the set is decent, as well as a very capacious 4550 mAh battery. The volume is quite decent and with economical consumption can last up to 9 hours. In the case of games, the charge will have to be spent on a rather demanding graphics card, so the average operating time will be about 80-100 minutes.

Like most of the models in the Yoga transformers line, this laptop looks like a sophisticated and minimalistic device with a modern frameless design and balanced characteristics. We don't know if it was created with an eye on Apple fans, but this model will definitely attract those who want to upgrade their MacBook.

The Lenovo Yoga 720 15 inch hybrid is equipped with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display (resolution 1920x1080), which recognizes up to 10 simultaneous touches or input using a stylus. The display quality is excellent. Viewing angles, contrast and saturation — all indicators are at a high level, it is extremely difficult to find fault with something. The brightness setting limits are also quite wide.

The laptop is based on a quad-core Core i5 processor of the penultimate generation (maximum frequency 3.5 GHz), 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (can be expanded to 24 GB) and a 256 GB SSD drive with an additional M slot.2. The cherry on the cake is a powerful GTX 1050 graphics card with 4 GB of video memory, which turns the Yoga 720 into a good gaming laptop capable of providing comfortable FPS at high settings in most modern games. However, if the power of the graphics card is used to the maximum, then the heating of the case will be noticeable.

The Yoga 720 periphery causes an ambiguous impression. On the one hand, the laptop is equipped with a pair of USB 3.0 ports, one USB C, supports the Thunderbolt interface and is equipped with a pair of proprietary speakers from JBL with Dolby Audio Premium support, capable of adequately voicing a novelty of the film industry or a fresh toy. On the other hand, Lenovo engineers for some reason abandoned the card reader and the HDMI port.

Thanks to the 6080 mAh battery, the laptop is able to withstand up to 10 hours of web surfing and watching videos.

HP has seriously thought about how an perfect modern laptop should look like. As a result, they got an extremely interesting transformer in a surprisingly thin and light HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 case.

The first thing that catches your eye is an extremely thin body made of solid aluminium. The thickness of the case is only 1.49 cm with a weight of 1.28 kg. And by touch, and by characteristics, and by appearance it is 100% premium class. The laptop looks minimalistic in a good way, and only the HP logo on the lid, which the company now uses only for premium devices, reminds of a rich pedigree.

The 13.3-inch touchscreen is made on the basis of an ultra-high-quality UWVA matrix (resolution 1920x1080) and boasts perfect viewing angles, rich colour reproduction and high contrast. All this is protected by the notorious Corning Gorilla Glass, which has proven itself well in the world of smartphones and tablets.

Inside the miniature case, we will see a four—threaded Core i5 processor of the Intel Kaby Lake family (operating frequencies 2.5 GHz — 3.1 GHz), integrated Intel HD 620 graphics, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. And if the graphics card in a business laptop is not particularly needed, then the rest of the hardware could be more powerful. Especially considering the price tag in the region of $ 2000.

If you look at the filling in the context of competition with ultrabooks, and not standard 15-inch models, then the filling is quite decent. As a bonus to this, the user receives a completely silent cooling system, which reminds of its existence only when starting games.

The transformer is equipped with all the necessary ports and connectors: a pair of USB 3.1, one USB C with Thunderbolt support, HDMI, a card reader and a smart card reader slot. Other amenities include Bang & Olufsen branded acoustics, a moisture-proof keyboard and a complete security package including a fingerprint scanner, a face scanner, a Kensington lock and a TPM security module.

The strengths of this transformer are impressive battery life and support for fast charging. According to the passport, HP promises up to 16.5 hours of work, but this is more likely in laboratory conditions. In reality, it turns out a little less — 11-12 hours.

In this table, you can compare the technical characteristics of transformer laptops. You can choose the best model for yourself in the laptop catalog.

High-performance processor of the latest generation, roomy SSD, additional RAM slot, speaker quality.

Dell often strives for maximum practicality and performance in its laptops, and sends design issues to secondary roles. The new Dell Inspiron 13 5379 transformer was no exception, offering a powerful filling, but not the cutest appearance.

SSD with a serious amount of memory

The laptop is equipped with an 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with four cores operating at frequencies of 1.6 — 3.4 GHz. In conjunction with the processor, an Intel HD Graphics 620 video core, a 1000 GB HDD drive and 8 GB of DDR4 memory are installed. The overall performance of the model is at a fairly high level and is more than sufficient for work, entertainment and undemanding games. If it is still not enough, then in addition to the current 8 GB of RAM, you can add another bar — the benefit is that an additional slot is provided for it.

Despite the fact that the model is far from the cheapest, there is no metal or valuable varieties of plastic here. Everything is plastic, practical and boring — such a design is unlikely to appeal to those who want to show off a new gadget to their friends.

Touch Full HD screen

Loud high-quality speakers

But there are no complaints about either a high-quality touchpad or a pair of loud and surprisingly bass speakers, which noticeably flourish when using the proprietary Waves Maxx Audio application.

The battery with a capacity of 42 W * h is enough for 5-6 hours of work with multimedia, but less, and this will not be enough for a model created with the idea of maximum portability.

Price, display quality, battery life, comfortable keyboard with touchpad, M.2 razem.

No USB C, small brightness margin, no fingerprint scanner.

Acer Spin 3 SP314-51 is an excellent transformer of the middle class, in which the affordable price has practically no effect on the quality of the gadget. Except that plastic was used instead of metal in the production of the case. However, you won't notice it offhand, since the plastic feels high-quality, and the assembly is strong.

High-contrast 14-inch display

The IPS touchscreen display of this model has a diagonal of 14" with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The matrix leaves a pleasant impression, but not without nuances. On the one hand, it has natural colour reproduction and a fairly high contrast ratio (1200:1), which is why the picture on it looks, as they say, juicy. On the other hand, the brightness margin of 220 cd/m2 seems to be quite limited, which is why the readability of information from the display suffers in sunny weather and in general in bright light.

Performant filling

Spin 3 SP314-51, although not a record holder in terms of performance, its layout looks really balanced. The heart of the transformer is an eight-threaded Core i5 of the latest generation of Intel chips (maximum frequency 3.4 GHz), paired with an integrated Intel HD 620 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD drive. Such performance will be enough for study, work and entertainment, and the integrated graphics card will allow you to play the "big" games of the last generation. Plus there is an M.2 slot to install an additional drive.

As for the peripherals, the laptop looks quite ascetic: a pair of USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0, an HDMI output and a card reader. USB C, which has gradually moved from the category of luxury to necessity, is not. Of the means of protection, only the Kensington lock, the fingerprint scanner was not delivered.

Extremely convenient keyboard

But the built-in speakers play quite loudly and efficiently. The more surprising is that this is not a third-party development from the conditional JBL, but Acer's own speakers. It is also worth praising the responsive touchpad and the comfortable backlit keyboard with a soft key stroke. It is really convenient to work with them.

The picture is completed by a rather tenacious battery with a capacity of 4605 mAh, which is able to live from one charge up to 10-12 hours.

Aluminium body, thin frames, 16 GB of RAM, additional RAM slot, M.2 slot, GTX 1050 graphics card with 4 GB of video memory, Thunderbolt support, JBL acoustics.

No card reader, no HDMI, case heating in games.

Like most of the models in the Yoga transformers line, this laptop looks like a sophisticated and minimalistic device with a modern frameless design and balanced characteristics. We don't know if it was created with an eye on Apple fans, but this model will definitely attract those who want to upgrade their MacBook.

Almost perfect display

The Lenovo Yoga 720 15 inch hybrid is equipped with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display (resolution 1920x1080), which recognizes up to 10 simultaneous touches or input using a stylus. The display quality is excellent. Viewing angles, contrast and saturation — all indicators are at a high level, it is extremely difficult to find fault with something. The brightness setting limits are also quite wide.

Decent power reserve

The laptop is based on a quad-core Core i5 processor of the penultimate generation (maximum frequency 3.5 GHz), 8 GB of DDR4 RAM (can be expanded to 24 GB) and a 256 GB SSD drive with an additional M slot.2.

Built-in acoustics from JBL

The Yoga 720 periphery causes an ambiguous impression. On the one hand, the laptop is equipped with a pair of USB 3.0 ports, one USB C, supports the Thunderbolt interface and is equipped with a pair of proprietary speakers from JBL with Dolby Audio Premium support, capable of adequately voicing a novelty of the film industry or a fresh toy. On the other hand, Lenovo engineers for some reason abandoned the card reader and the HDMI port.

10 hours on a single charge

Thanks to the 6080 mAh battery, the laptop is able to withstand up to 10 hours of web surfing and watching videos.

Shockproof housing, moisture-proof keyboard, additional RAM slot, display brightness reserve, roomy SSD, NVMe drive support, battery life.

Cooling system.

If you need to describe the HP ProBook x360 440 G1 with just two words, then these will be the epithets "fast" and "safe".

When creating this model, HP counted on employees of medium and large businesses who value reliability and speed. The impact-resistant metal and plastic case is responsible for reliability, as well as a moisture-resistant keyboard that protects the laptop filling from accidentally spilled tea or coffee.

Maximum performance

The performance is provided by a powerful quad-core Core i7 processor of the eighth generation with a maximum clock speed of 4 GHz. In conjunction with it, the laptop has 8 GB of DDR 4 RAM with an additional RAM expansion slot and a high-speed NVMe SSD with a volume of 512 GB. There are definitely no problems with performance from such a configuration. However, with a high load, you need to be prepared for the fact that the cooling system does not always cope with heat removal and the model may heat up.

Bright and responsive IPS display

The HP ProBook x360 440 G1 has a 14-inch touchscreen display with standard Full HD resolution, good colour reproduction and a commendable brightness margin of 370 cd/m2. Thanks to the latter, it will be convenient to work with the display even on the beach under the scorching sun. You can find fault with the display only because of the not very uniform backlight (only 87%). As for the sensor, it is responsive, reacts to touch clearly and quickly.

High levels of battery life

All the main ports of the x360 440 G1 are available: the laptop has two standard USB 3.0, one USB C Gen 1, an audio connector, a card reader, an HDMI video output and an Ethernet port. The manufacturer also took care of security by providing the model with a TPM 2.0 chip, a fingerprint scanner and an infrared camera with Windows Hello support.

For autonomous battery operation, the laptop can only be praised — 13 hours on a single charge is more than a solid indicator.

Thin frames, thickness, weight, Thunderbolt support, size M.2, battery life, JBL acoustics.

No card reader, no HDMI, cooling system.

True to its name, the Yoga 730 looks like an extremely neat, sophisticated device with a frameless design and a thin lightweight body (1.12 kg). Outwardly, it looks like last year's version of Yoga 720-13: a metal case, an inconspicuous Yoga logo in the upper left corner of the lid, a stylus fixed on the right side.

Excellent IPS display

Lenovo Yoga 730 is equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The screen supports up to 10 simultaneous touches. The reaction speed is high enough, the accuracy of the "hit" also does not cause any complaints, so it is comfortable to operate the system without resorting to the help of a stylus.

As for the quality of the matrix, the brightness margin of 310 cd/m2, the contrast ratio of 840:1 and almost full sRGB colour coverage indicate that we have a very decent quality display. Of the small shortcomings, only a small "shortage" in the green region of the spectrum can be distinguished.

High-quality speakers from JBL

It is pleasant to work on such a device thanks to a high-quality full-size keyboard with an average stroke of keys and a full-fledged backlight. The same applies to the touchpad with high sensitivity and positioning accuracy. Well, the experience of watching movies and listening to music promises to be enjoyable thanks to two high-quality speakers from the renowned JBL audio brand.

The latest generation octa-core processor

Inside the laptop there is a processor of the latest generation Intel Core i5-8265U (4 cores, frequency TurboBoost 3.9 GHz), HD Graphics 620 video core, 8 GB of DDR 4 RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Moreover, the amount of memory can be increased due to an additional M.2 format drive. The performance of the ultrabook is enough for the usual tasks that arise for a typical user who is not interested in games — web surfing, video chats, photo processing, etc. The only inconvenience may be the noise of the cooling system and noticeable heating of the case, which occurs at a high load level.

Modern equipment

The transformer's equipment is modest, but very modern: a pair of USB C ports with Thunderbolt support and one USB 3.1. As in previous Yoga models, the card reader and HDMI had to be sacrificed for the sake of a thin case (only 13.9 mm).

In terms of battery life, Lenovo Yoga 730 demonstrates excellent results — up to 11.5 hours with minimal loads, and up to 6-7 hours when typing and surfing the web with average brightness settings.
