IPS screen laptops
IPS
— the most popular type of matrix for mid- and top-price laptops; however, is increasingly found in budget models, and for transformers and devices «2-in-1» (cf. «Type») and at all is almost standard option.Screens of this type are noticeably superior to TN-film in the quality of «pictures»: they give bright, reliable and saturated image, almost unchanged when changing the angle of view. In addition, this technology allows for extensive color coverage under various special standards (cf. «Color Coverage») and is suitable for creating displays with advanced features - such as HDR support or Pantone certification (cf. «Display Features»). In all this, IPS matrices have relatively low cost; it is certainly higher than TN-Film, but usually this difference is more than justified given the above advantages. In addition, there are several varieties of such screens, which allows you to choose the best option depending on the price category and specialization of particular laptop. On the other hand, for the same reason, the specific characteristics of IPS-displays should be specified separately - especially if the laptop is planned to be used for specific tasks where the image quality is critical.
